"No U-Turn"

Book cover right "No U-Turn" is a poetry collection spanning over forty years of writing (1979-2017), a raw and uncompromising journey into the human soul confronting the irreversibility of choices. The title itself embodies the work's central theme: in life, as the road sign indicates, there is no turning back. The author guides us through three sections marking different existential phases: from the restless youth of the '80s and '90s, through the painful maturity of the new millennium, to the final awareness of the 2010s. Each poem is a fragment of lived experience, a moment of truth torn from inexorably flowing time. With direct and often brutal language, Fienga explores universal themes of betrayed love, looming death, inner and outer warfare, the search for meaning in an apparently indifferent universe. There is no consolatory rhetoric: only the naked truth of one who has understood that "there is no going back" and that every step, every word, every silence carries definitive weight. From early youthful poems charged with hope to final meditations on mortality, "No U-Turn" is the merciless portrait of a generation that crossed the end of the last century carrying on its shoulders the weight of its own irreversible choices.
